The Gavrinis cairn (Brittany, F) with its engraved slabs is one of the most impressive monuments of the European Megalithic art (Neolithic). A visit is due also to the near site of Locmariaquer, with the great cracked menhir, the “Table des Marchand”, and the “Pierres Plates” dolmen. All engraved figures are very important in the Megalithic iconography: it is possibile to recognise archaeological objects and weapons like crosses and Neolithic stone-axes.
